The Los Angeles Police Department arrested a 16-year-old juvenile Thursday who is believed to be responsible for the shooting of a Shoe Palace employee in Fairfax.
At around 12:29 p.m., Wednesday, LAPD
responded to a call of a shooting at the shoe store, helping the wounded employee upon arrival.
A dispute over a shoe raffle reportedly took take place between two males and woman, before the employee, who was later identified as Jayren Bradford, attempted to de-escalate the situation.
Video was reposted to social media and where the shooter, who was described as a Hispanic male, took out a firearm from his pocket and fired, fleeing the scene before before police arrived.
Bradford was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A memorial was set up for Bradford outside of the shoe store where friends and family set up photos and messages to Jayren.
