73-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Single-Vehicle Accident near West Vereda Azul

TUCSON, AZ (November 3, 2023) - Terry Spivey lost his life Friday afternoon, and Veta Spivey sustained injuries in a single-car accident on South Westover Avenue. Emergency services were dispatched to the location at approximately 1:13 p.m. on October 27th, near West Vereda Azul.

According to initial reports, the driver, 73-year-old Terry, suffered a medical episode that led to the loss of control of the vehicle. Consequently, the car veered off the road and collided with a tree.

Medical responders arrived promptly and sadly declared Terry deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, 76-year-old Veta, the passenger, was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
