They Regrette Nothing: It feels like they just got here, and the Regrettes are calling it quits. Lydia Night and her merry band will play three shows at the Fonda in their hometown, as they look to go out with a bang. We just said farewell to Skinny Puppy at the Belasco, and now this? Too much trauma. “If you’re reading this or you’ve been to a show or bought a record, you’ve given us all some of the best years of our lives,” the band said. “After all these amazing years together, we are parting ways to focus on other projects. There is absolutely nothing but love in our hearts for each other and you all & we’re eternally grateful. We would love to have you there to dance and celebrate the end of an incredible run.”
"TheRegrettes consist of singer and songwriter, Lydia Night, as well as Genessa Gariano (guitar), Brooke Dickson (bass) and Drew Thomsen (drums)," reads the press release. "The band formed in 2015 and earned widespread acclaim with the 2019 release of their sophomore LP How Do You Love?, including NME who declared them 'truly unstoppable,' and Teen Vogue who praised their 'incredibly self-aware, empowering pop-punk' with additional accolades from Vogue, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and more. TheRegrettes have headlined sold-out shows throughout North America and Europe, performed at festivals including Coachella and Reading + Leeds, and have appeared on Good Morning America, Conan and Jimmy Kimmel Live!."
"The band released the deluxe edition of their celebrated third studio album, Further Joy, via Warner Records to critical acclaim. Rolling Stone says the album '…captures theRegrettes’ effortless transformation from teenage punks into pop powerhouses' and Consequence says the album is 'halfway between Gwen Stefani’s modern pop era and No Doubt’s Rock Steady phase.' The band recently released their cover of Robyn’s 'Dancing On My Own' and supported Yungblud on the tour of the US."
They Regrette Nothing: The event takes place at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21 at the Fonda Theatre.
