47-Year-Old Menifee Man Dies in Auto-Pedestrian Collision Near Sherman Road

MENIFEE, CA (October 18, 2023) - A pedestrian versus auto collision on McCall Boulevard Sunday night took the life of Timothy George.
The deadly crash happened shortly after 10:15 p.m. on McCall Blvd, just east of Sherman Road.
According to the Menifee Police Department, an eastbound Honda sedan struck the man walking in the westbound lane for unknown reasons.
Police said the driver failed to see the pedestrian walking the westbound lanes because the victim was wearing “non-reflective clothing”.
After hitting the victim, the driver pulled over to a nearby gas station and called emergency dispatch.
Unfortunately, the responding paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department declared the man dead at the scene. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased man as 47-year-old Timothy George of Hemet.
Anyone with additional information regarding the fatal pedestrian crash is urged to contact the department's Traffic Unit at 951-723-1690.
