Travis Phillips Dead, Clark Neuman Hospitalized after Rollover Collision on FM 2867 [Rusk County, TX]

25-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Slamming into Tree near Henderson

RUSK COUNTY, TX (November 22, 2023) - Travis Phillips lost his life Saturday night, and Clark Neuman sustained injuries in a rollover collision just southeast of Henderson. Emergency responders were on the scene shortly before 10:00 p.m.

According to reports, Phillips, a 25-year-old, was behind the wheel of an eastbound pickup truck when he attempted a left turn. The vehicle overcorrected, swerving back onto the road and colliding with a utility pole and a tree.

Paramedics pronounced Phillips deceased at the scene, while Neuman, the other individual involved, was transported to UT Health Henderson with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Presently, an active investigation is underway to gather additional information. As soon as more details become available, they will be disclosed to the public.
