Two Victims Shot Near South L.A. Schools Prompting Campus Lockdowns
The Los Angeles School Police Dept. confirmed two people were wounded after shootings near Santee High School and Maple Primary Center.
LASPD and LAPD responded to the first shooting around 2 p.m., treating one of the victims outside of near Santee High.
Around 30 minutes later, LASPD responded to the second shooting which occurred down the street, closer to Maple Primary Center.
Both schools were locked down until police secured the perimeter and both victims were taken to a local hospital.

The shooting suspect was described as a male Hispanic with dark blue clothing.
Police said they will remain on-scene while conducting their investigation.
