Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Vivian Nicole Tesler came back onto the music scene earlier this year with her debut disco-genre single, Discomatic. And since then the media-appointed, ‘Disco Queen of 2023’, has been making audiences of all demographics feel good and get up & dance with her disco-inspired tunes.

With it now being October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), also referred to in the United States as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), Vivian is turning her music into making a difference beyond just having people dance. The Disco Queen has announced that she has partnered up with popular 501(c)3 nonprofit F*ck Cancer to donate back a portion of streams/downloads from her new single.

The funds raised by listeners of Vivian’s new October-released song “Millennium Force” will help in advancing health equity with cancer through early detection and prevention programs and by providing resources to navigate, manage, and cope with cancer.

But even more than just giving back and making a difference, this particular track hits close to home for Vivian, who lost her mother to cancer, and in an exclusive interview with us here, she opened up about the song and why partnering up for it on behalf of her mother was so important.

Tell us about your new single Millennium Force and what it means to you.

My new single “Millennium Force” is about the heat and combustion one feels through a first-time meeting. That kind of situation where you see someone for the first time and there is this dynamic attraction. It is a feel-good song that will make you want to get up and dance. It is a very important song to me on my album “Discomatic” because it reminds me of my late mother, Adriana Tesler. Although the song initially wasn’t written about her, she was a massive force in this world, and a special human being. Throughout her life, she left a dynamic impact on so many people. “Millennium Force” described who she was as a whole. She was larger than life in regard to her personality. She could bring life out of you, and lift your spirit within seconds of chatting with you. My mother had the spirit of 100 people in one. We always said she would live to 120. Very sadly, it was taken from her far too early. I hope that through this song, the listeners can put aside whatever negative scenarios they might be dealing with in life and be free from them, let go, and reset in a happy state of mind.

Tell us about your partnership with F**k Cancer.

Partnering with F**k Cancer holds a special place in my heart, as I lost my mother this past year to pancreatic cancer. It was our hope to spread awareness and direction to anyone who might be experiencing this horrible disease currently by using our platforms to do so. Organizations like Fuck Cancer are extremely important when it comes to spreading awareness on a topic that blinds the individual diagnosed with cancer and their family. Speaking firsthand, the individual and family are generally unprepared to understand “what comes next" and how to deal with the journey or path that lies ahead of them. My single, “Millennium Force,” is a tribute to my mother and anyone else who may need a helping hand to overcome the battle this disease brings forth. A portion of all proceeds will be donated back to F**k Cancer, so please download the single and know it’s for a great cause!

What do you hope people walk away feeling after listening to this new disco tune?

Throughout the creation of “Millennium Force,” the feel was always supposed to be happy and make you want to dance. It is a magnetic force from within us that pulls us to the dance floor under the disco ball, an atmosphere that allows oneself to be free. I hope people listening can walk away after hearing “Millenium Force” feeling joyful, excited, and stress-free.

How has it been being an artist living and working on your craft here in Los Angeles?

I have always been drawn to Los Angeles for all the very obvious reasons: the weather, the lifestyle, and the versatility. However, the number one reason has been the entertainment industry. There is nothing on this earth like Hollywood. The combination of creatives and entrepreneurs is on an entirely different level. A class of its own. There is endless opportunity here. A world where, anywhere you turn, you can find yourself among the most fascinating creatives and entrepreneurs. These creative minds always drew me to the magic of Tinseltown. I am a highly driven and passionate person. When I set my mind to create something of value, the pursuit to make it happen has always been my top priority. I fit right in, and I feel right at home.

What's next for you from here?

“Millennium Force” is the second song released on my album. I will continue to release the rest of it moving forward, so if you’re ready to dance the night away, stay tuned for the rest!

Where and when can people get the new single?

“Millennium Force” will be available on all streaming platforms (beginning October 23rd). As well, you will be able to purchase the song on platforms such as Apple Music and Amazon Music, where a portion of the proceeds will be donated to F**k Cancer.
