Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on 19th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]

Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Cactus Road

PHOENIX, AZ (October 17, 2023) - Saturday evening, a pedestrian accident on 19th Avenue claimed the life of one woman.

On October 14th, around 6:30 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the scene near Cactus Road. According to initial reports, a woman was struck by a northbound vehicle while crossing 19th Avenue mid-block.

Emergency medical responders located the woman with severe injuries. She was then transported to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

In the aftermath, emergency crews temporarily closed off the road to facilitate cleanup and initial response tasks. The driver involved in the accident remained on the scene and cooperated with the ongoing investigation.
