OXNARD, CA (January 28, 2025) – One victim died Saturday night, and two were hurt in a DUI collision on Victoria Avenue.
Police officers responded to the scene around 9:45 p.m., near Doris Avenue.
The Oxnard Police Department reported a collision involving a northbound Nissan Cube and a Toyota Sienna van.
Emergency responders transported the 55-year-old Oxnard man driving the Toyota and a passenger to Ventura County Medical Center.
Despite life-saving efforts, the passenger was pronounced dead, while the driver remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The 19-year-old Nissan driver was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities later booked the driver into county jail on suspicion of DUI. Anyone with information about the two-vehicle crash on Victoria Avenue is encouraged to contact local police as soon as possible.
