1 Killed in Motorcycle vs Bus Collision on East Koenig Lane [Austin, TX]

One Pronounced Dead after Bus vs Motorcycle Accident near Avenue F

AUSTIN, TX (October 3, 2024) – One victim was killed early Tuesday morning, in a motorcycle vs bus crash on East Koenig Lane.

Around 7:40 a.m., first responders arrived to the scene near Avenue F on September 24th.

Austin-Travis County EMS reported that a CapMetro bus and a motorcycle were involved in a collision. However, the specific details leading up to the crash are still unclear. When authorities arrived, they found one person with life-threatening injuries.

Despite medical efforts, the individual was later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity and place of residency have not yet been released by investigators.

Additionally, one other person was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

The Austin Transportation and Public Works Department temporarily shut down all lanes at the intersection for cleanup. The lanes have since reopened. The investigation remains active, with no further information provided at this time.
