Films have come a long way since the days of Louis Le Prince's Roundhay Garden Scene, but the primary motivation behind its purpose has never wavered — to bring stories to life. Storytelling is nearly as old as human civilization, so it warrants little wonder why people are innately drawn to the movies where we can openly fawn over our favorite characters in action. And like some of the greatest actors in history, actress Erica Papasergi finds her adoration for film in the chance to embody darling personalities for the world to embrace.

From her earliest memories, Papasergi recalls interests in numerous professions, ultimately assuming acting as an avenue to be anything she wanted. Acting feels like the career that lets you be a lawyer one week and a guitar player the next, learning invaluable skills with each role. Ultimately, the uncanny ability that movies have to teach, inspire, and heal formed Papasergi's desire to enter the industry. However, breaking into the film world can be a long, arduous road meant only for those with the passion and resilience to navigate it.

Growing up on a small island in Italy, Papasergi found her love for acting at age four after the young child was enrolled as a dancer and actress in theater. While steadily refining her talents, she only grew to adore the process further and soon nurtured dreams of moving to the heart of entertainment in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, breaking into the acting world does not only take talent, practice, and time. It also takes money. Since she did not come from wealth, Papasergi took it upon herself to begin working to save money from age 15 while still in school. Alongside other work, the pursuing entertainer also leaped at opportunities to earn extra income by working as an actress and acting coach in Italy. After much time working, saving, and continuing to hone her abilities, Papasergi finally moved to L.A. in October 2019 to begin classes at the Los Angeles Acting Conservatory.

Following a brief move back to Italy and being forced to pause schooling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the actress returned to L.A., where she graduated from the Los Angeles Acting Conservatory. She has been building her career, working on many projects ever since. Although she prides herself on being exceptionally collaborative, always going the extra mile to make life on set easy for everyone involved, Papasergi has faced many industry challenges. Aside from the expected difficulties, such as dealing with cold rejections, the aspiring actress found incredible adversity in being disallowed opportunities to audition after pouring her heart and soul into a role. While these challenges were disheartening enough to make Papasergi doubt herself, she instead embraced the negatives as lessons to build her character, using them as motivation to work even harder.

Papasergi knows what she speaks, as her work ethic and unparalleled ability to embrace adversity have been working in concert to propel her to the top of the industry. Throughout her career thus far, she has garnered attention for her work with award-winning director Michelle Danner. Papasergi has also won a gold medal in Italy's championship of the arts and has worked as an acting coach for a T.V. series. Today, Papasergi anticipates further opportunities to explore new roles— learning the nuances of fascinating and complex characters, bringing them to life, and refining her skills along the way.
