According to Kevin Bronson's Buzzbands, East Hollywood venue Safari Sam's shut its doors for good last week. The story behind the club's closure is still developing so, until I know more, I'll leave you with one show at Safari Sam's that will always stand out as a personal favorite: Gram Rabbit in May of this year. My memory of the night is particularly foggy (too much tequila) but I did find this YouTube clip of the band performing one of my favorites, “The Rest of Us Sleep,” off their 2007 album, RadioAngel and the RobotBeat.
