Driver Arrested, Multiple Hospitalized after DUI Crash on State Route 99 [Seattle, WA]

Several Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Aurora Avenue


SEATTLE, WA (October 6, 2023) - Early Monday morning, multiple occupants were hospitalized after a DUI crash on State Route 99.
The incident occurred on September 4th just before 2:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Aurora Avenue North, including the tunnel on State Route 99.
Furthermore, the Seattle Police Department stated that a vehicle occupied by four people was headed northbound when it crashed into a parked vehicle.
Luckily, the vehicle involved was not occupied by anyone during the incident. All four occupants of the suspect vehicle were identified as a man in their 20s and 30s.
Moreover, all occupants were able to get out of the vehicle, and all of them suffered injuries one was listed in serious condition.
Consequently, the first responders transported all of them to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the suspect vehicle was arrested by the officers and he was charged with suspicion of DUI.
Also, the authorities blocked all northbound lanes of SR-99 at Dexter Avenue to allow crews to clear the scene. They reopened it just before 7:30 a.m.
