Facts To Know About The World Cup

The soccer World Cup is the biggest event in the soccer calendar. It’s also one of the most compelling and intriguing sporting spectacles of the year. Each World Cup has its own quirks, traditions, and unforgettable moments. There have been many different versions of this event over time, but the modern World Cup began in 1930 and has been held every four years since then (with the exception of 1942 and 1946). The FIFA Men’s World Cup is held once every four years and it is played by national teams from all over the globe. Every team that qualifies for this tournament has to go through several rounds of qualifiers before they are officially accepted as a participant in the main event. This year’s World Cup is held in Qatar and will last through Dec. 18.
