33-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Willow Street

EL PASO, TX (November 27, 2023) – Humberto Escajeda died early Friday in a pedestrian crash on Montana Avenue and Willow Street. The incident occurred just before 4:30 a.m., on November 17th. Per reports, 33-year-old Escajeda was not in a marked crosswalk when he was crossing the street. The driver of an eastbound pickup-truck then collided with the pedestrian. Due tot he extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced Escajeda dead at the scene. The involved driver then remained in the area and contacted authorities. Although, their identity has not yet been released. Following preliminary duties, no charges were cited against the driver. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
