Josh Cowdrey Dead, Tammera Pittman Arrested after DUI Motorcycle Accident on Barstow Avenue [Clovis, CA]

37-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after DUI Collision near Sunnyside Avenue

CLOVIS, CA (September 3, 2024)Josh Cowdrey died late Wednesday morning, in a motorcycle crash on Barstow and Sunnyside Avenue.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m., on August 28th.

According to investigators, Cowdrey was riding a motorcycle westbound on Barstow Avenue when a small red SUV turned in front of him, leading to a collision near the intersection.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced 37-year-old Cowdrey dead.

After initial investigations, police determined that the SUV’s driver, 57-year-old Tammera Pittman from Clovis, was under the influence. She was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The investigation is still ongoing, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
