Man Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Accident near Carver Road

MODESTO, CA (October 5, 2023) - In the early hours of Saturday morning, an accident on Pelandale Avenue resulted in the loss of one life and injury to another.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after midnight, at the junction of Pelandale Avenue and Carver Road. According to initial reports, the driver of an eastbound Tesla Model Y collided with a light pole on the southwest corner of the intersection.

Medical personnel later pronounced the male driver, a resident of Modesto, deceased at the scene. Paramedics also transported the male passenger, from Fresno, to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
