Man Fatally Struck in Bicycle Collision on Wible Road [Bakersfield, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Planz Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 17, 2023) – One man died Tuesday afternoon in a bicycle crash on Wible Road and Planz Road. Officers arrived to the scene around 3:00 p.m., after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
Per reports, the unidentified female driver of a vehicle struck an adult male bicyclist near the intersection. First responders located the man riding the bicycle down on the road with life-threatening injuries upon arrival.
Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he later died. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
Meanwhile, the woman driving the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Once available, more details will be provided.
