Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on Avenue 252 [Fresno, CA]

43-Year-Old Lindsay Man Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident near Road 216

FRESNO, CA (October 5, 2023) - A hit-and-run incident occurred on Avenue 252 early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of one male pedestrian.

Around 12:38 a.m. on September 17th, officers arrived at the scene just east of Road 216. Investigators say an unidentified vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking along Avenue 252.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and instead, fled from the scene.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the male victim deceased at the accident site. The only available information about the deceased pedestrian is that he was a 43-year-old resident of Lindsay.

Emergency crews temporarily closed off the vicinity to facilitate cleanup and initial investigative procedures. Currently, Tulare County officials are working to gather more details about the suspect and the vehicle involved. Anyone who may have additional information is strongly encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
