WICHITA FALLS, TX (November 13, 2024) – One man died Sunday night, in a pedestrian crash on northbound Central Freeway.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m., near Missile Road on October 14th.
Investigators report that a man was struck by a vehicle after stepping onto the roadway from the rear driver’s side passenger door. Troopers arrived to find the man critically injured and lying on the road.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts by emergency responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet disclosed his identity or place of residence.
A second male passenger, aged 31, exited the vehicle to assist the injured man but was also struck by a passing vehicle. Paramedics transported him to United Regional Health Care System with minor injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further details will be shared as they become available.
