Two-Vehicle Collision near 22 Freeway Interchange Left One Person Dead

ORANGE, CA (July 31, 2023) – Sunday morning, a two-car crash near 5 Freeway and 22 Freeway interchange claimed the life of one person. The incident happened on July 30th, at around 10:20 a.m., on the connecting route between the 22 Freeway eastbound and 5 Freeway northbound. According to reports, a pickup truck and a small sedan were involved in an accident. The impact of the collision caused one person to sustain fatal injuries. At this time, it is unclear whether the person died at the scene of the accident or at the hospital. Following the crash, officials closed down the areas of the freeway surrounding the accident. Crews then performed cleanup and preliminary duties. Currently, an active investigation into the two-car crash near 5 Freeway is underway.
