SAN JOSE, CA (January 20, 2025) – One driver was arrested Sunday night, after a fatal DUI crash on Lincoln Avenue.
Dispatchers received calls in the area around 10:49 p.m., near Lonus Road.
When officers arrived, they determined that a northbound white 2014 Acura SUV had hit a pedestrian who was outside of a designated crosswalk.
Emergency crews transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where they later died from their injuries. The victim’s identity has not yet been released to the public. After the collision, the driver fled the scene. However, San Jose police later located the suspect and arrested them, booking them into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
The driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, now faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. Those who witnessed the fatal Lincoln Avenue DUI crash can call Detective DelliCarpini at 4103@sanjoseca.gov.
