ARCHER COUNTY, TX (October 25, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a multi-car collision on Highway 281, resulted in the loss of a young teenager’s life.
The incident prompted a swift response from law enforcement, who arrived at the scene near the Dollar General Store in Windthorst on October 20th.
According to initial reports, the driver of a Ford F-250 collided with the car driven by the 17-year-old victim from behind. Subsequently, a Chevrolet Malibu also became involved in the collision.
Prompt medical assistance was provided, and the injured 17-year-old was transported to the United Regional Health Care System. There, the young occupant later succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by authorities at this time.
As part of cleanup and initial investigation efforts, emergency crews temporarily closed off the surrounding area. Further details regarding the multi-car accident on Highway 281 will be released when available.
